To fulfill the mandate of occupying this earth until Jesus Christ returns, it is imperative for the Church to Believe in GOD –
a. To have faith in Him and believe in the power of faith in God
b. To believe in the power of His Grace . Grace is unmerited favour, which is –
What He does for us, which we could never do for ourselves, which we do not deserve and can never repay.
c. To believe in the power of the truth.
d. To be one / united
Let’s look at Jesus’ teaching and demonstration of this powerful truth:
The Power of God’s Faith & Faith in God
The Withered Fig Tree
12 The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.
19 When evening came, they went out of the city.
20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”
22 “Havefaith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen; it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins
Have Faith in God
We have to understand
That though God is Almighty,
Is on the throne and
Is Lord Most High;
AND ACCOMPLISHES HIS WILL ON EARTH THROUGH HIS PEOPLE –
THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST;
Upon whom He has bestowed
Both the mandate and anointing
To rule and reign over all circumstances
By the Word and Works
Almighty and Sovereign (Most High),
Regarding what He can do
For His people,
He is limited
By their faith
ACTIONS AND SPEECH
Listen to the challenge He gives us in
Ps 2:1 – 9
Why do the nations conspire
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth take their stand
and the rulers gather together
against the LORD
and against his Anointed One.
3 “Let us break their chains,” they say,
“and throw off their fetters.”
4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.
5 Then he rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 “I have installed my King
on Zion, my holy hill.”
7 I will proclaim the decree of the LORD:
He said to me, “You are my Son;
today I have become your Father.
8 Ask of me,
and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You will rule them with an iron scepter
you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
In this wonderful Psalm, the Lord invites us His people, in the midst of opposition, to ASK HIM TO GIVE US NATIONS. So, in this Psalm, we see the Lord waiting on us to permit Him to subject nations to our rulership.
So here, our faith would determine the extent of our rulership on earth
